This photo captures a moment that feels just like that — Lucky’s very first outing, a little hesitant but brave enough to step into a brand-new world. Until that day, his universe had been small. The living room floor, the couch, the familiar rhythms of life inside the house while he grew strong enough for his vaccinations.
But that afternoon, sitting in the grass with the sun dipping low, Lucky was suddenly meeting the world for the first time. He didn’t rush. He just sat there quietly, taking everything in — the breeze through the grass, the distant sounds of the neighborhood, and the strange new scents that only a puppy could fully appreciate. Curious. A little cautious. But ready. Looking back now, that moment feels a lot like this time of year.
March sits right on the edge of a new season. Winter hasn’t quite let go yet, but you can feel the shift coming — the small signs that the world is beginning again. Sometimes that’s all it takes. A breath of fresh air. A little curiosity. A willingness to step forward.

Dogs show us this every day. They greet the world with openness. They offer affection freely. They remind us that kindness doesn’t need a complicated plan — sometimes it begins with the smallest gestures.
So this month, we’re inviting the pack to March Into Kindness. A kind word. A helping hand. A moment of patience. Or simply spending a little extra time with the dog sitting beside you. Sometimes kindness begins exactly the way Lucky did that day — with curiosity, a little courage, and the willingness to step into the world.
And while this post is about the spirit of spring and new beginnings, it’s also a quiet nod to the dog in this photo — Lucky, the one who started it all for our pack. We’ll share more about him later this month.
