May | Living What Matters

May | Living What Matters

It’s one thing to know what matters. This month, we’re learning how to live it.

April was about coming back. Not starting over—but returning to what matters. Slowing down. Paying attention again. Noticing what grounds you. Noticing what points you in the right direction. Your North Star.

May doesn’t start something new. It builds on that. This month is about something simple: taking what matters—and living what matters. Not all at once. Not perfectly. One step at a time.

But in small, everyday ways. Through the choices you make. The way you show up. The way you treat people. And over time…it starts to take shape.

Last month, we walked through the pillars—the areas of life where this shows up. But knowing what matters is only the beginning. This is where Becoming comes in.

Becoming is what happens when what you believe, what you choose, and how you live—start to align over time. But in the small, everyday ways you show up. Because you don’t become by accident. You become by what you repeat.

Because what you’re moving toward isn’t perfection. It’s learning to merge—
where what you believe, what you choose, and how you live come together as you move in the right direction.

We’re walking through this in three parts:

  • 🐾 Get to Know Your Woof | Understanding who you are—what grounds you, what matters to you, and where you belong.
  • 🐾 Strengthen Your Pack | How you show up for others—your role, your presence, and the way you build trust.
  • 🐾 Wag More. Give More, | The impact you leave behind—through kindness, encouragement, and small actions that carry.

These build on what we’ve already been practicing—how this shows up in your life, one step at a time.

This is the same path laid out in When I Met My Hooman. Not just as a story—but as a way to understand who you are, how you show up, and what you bring into the world around you. This month, we’re walking through it together—one step, one question, one moment at a time.

Each week, we’ll focus on one part. One question a day. And a moment to reflect at the end. Not just to think about—but to live what matters. Something you can go through as a family. Something that turns small moments into meaningful ones. Nothing here is complicated. But it is intentional.

And when you keep showing up to it—even in small ways—it doesn’t stay something you think about. It becomes something you live. It starts to show. In how you live. In how you respond. In who you’re becoming over time.

Looking to your North Star—and living what matters, one step at a time.
